The inspiration for the Woombie was the premature birth of Karen's own daughter who woke up frequently and had problems with the traditional swaddling methods and blankets.
In 2012 expansion plans were laid to become even more environmentally concerned and to focus on being a more organic company, as well as introducing more product lines.
Customer reviews are fairly positive for the Woombie and the company as a whole, for example:
<span "font-size: small;">Ethan is almost 6 months now. He has been in the hospital for almost 3 months. He was born with a heart defect that was repaired in May. He has had some complications since that surgery but doing well. He is a trooper. The Woombie has to be the best sleep sack on the market by far. I have had to order about 4 of them since they seem to get dirty pretty fast. All his nurses & doctors just love seeing him swaddled up like that. A few nurses have ordered them for themselves or going to when they have kids. Ethan just loves his Woombie, I am a big fan.
